Violin, pedals, synthesizers , drums, triggers, pads, cowbells, and metal sheets make up the sonic universe of Los Sara Fontan. Their creative method is rooted in the analog and digital processing of acoustic sound. Hailing from Barcelona, the artistic practice of Sara Fontan and Edi Pou emerges from improvisation, the embrace of error as a creative opportunity, and the physicality of the body and its sonic extensions as a source of material.
Their true domain is live performance—physical, passionate, punk, ever-changing, and responsive to its surroundings—granting the audience the freedom to let their imagination run wild.
Sara uses the violin and keyboard as starting points, transforming them through electroacoustic processes to create a rich palette of sounds and evoke diverse sonic landscapes. Alongside her, Edi (also half of ZA!, a staple of the European underground) takes on the challenge of turning percussion into melody, pushing dynamics from the minuscule to the epic.
