The contrast between the deep resonance of the double bass and the high timbre of the voice forms the starting point of Helene Glüxam’s solo project. The minimalist instrumentation emphasizes the intimacy of her compositions, inspired by natural imagery such as “Wellensturm” (wave storm) and “Lichtungen” (clearings).
At the core lies her personal connection to the instrument and its sound, which are inseparably intertwined in the creative process. This opens up a space in which she explores her different voices through unconventional playing techniques while experimenting with captivating song forms. Stylistically, her music draws on jazz, improvisation, and alternative rock.
